我们知道表示情感的动词-ing形式，通常是与事物相关从而修饰事物的形容词，但也有一些形容词——这里指高考范围内的-ing形式，也是可以用来修饰人的。
常见的有：amazing, amusing, annoying, boring, convincing, disappointing, encouraging, inspiring, interesting, tiring等。
amazing惊人的/了不起的
Her grandmother was really anamazingwoman. （韦氏高阶P47）
He’s anamazingplayer to watch. 看他比赛那才叫精彩呢。（朗文高阶第4版P60）
amusing好笑的/有趣的/引人发笑的

当然也可以看到其他一些修饰人的-ing形容词——fascinating 迷人的，loving 慈爱的，understanding善解人意的，knowing，deserving，unfeeling，dying，charming，living，respecting，rising，leading，crying等，这里不再累述。
