虽然题目问的是复数，qualities，但是其实我们就算回答一种品质，只要讲得足够深入，也能够拿高分。我这里打算说的一点是我认为家长应该以一个积极的态度去对待孩子。在孩子做对了事的时候要多表扬，而不是在孩子做错了事的时候大发雷霆，那么我正反两边都稍作解释，基本上这道题也就回答完毕了。以下是我个人的回答，大家边听的时候也可以边想想看，还有什么其它的qualities可以说：

问题：In your opinion, what qualities should a good parent have?

Well, I think a really essential quality that a good parent should have is being constructive. To be more specific, I think parents should respond constructively whenever their children did something well. Like, if children got a good grade on the test, the parents should not hesitate to give praises and encouragements to the children, because even the tiniest compliment can help build children’s confidence. Unfortunately though, most of the parents do the exact opposite. When their children do a good job on the test, they take it for granted, but when their children occasionally mess up on something, they rage about it and punish the children for the mistake. And that’s the last thing they want to do as parents.
